Smile Mile Fun Run

We are so excited for our Smile Mile Fun Run this Friday, April 29th. Below are a few “day of” logistics for our student runners and family supporters.

Dismissal Information

Students participating in the Fun Run will be dismissed on the blacktop behind the school instead of their usual dismissal doors. Parents of PKG – 1st graders should meet their children on the blacktop and help walk them to the upper field to start their run. Students in grades 2-5 should head straight to their designated running location after being dismissed to the blacktop.

There will be a designated area on the blacktop for students to leave their backpacks and other belongings during the run. Don’t forget to have your student pick up their items before leaving the event!

What to Bring

Smile Mile t-shirts will be distributed to students the day of the run in their classroom. Students should bring their own water bottle for the run (there will NOT be water stations) and wear comfortable shoes for running.

Running Locations

There will be 2 tracks set up for our student runners. Grades PKG-2 will run on the upper field next to the baseball field. Grades 3-5 will run on the track around the playground area. Students can start their laps as soon as they get to their location! Family supporters can stand anywhere around the track to cheer on their runners.

Kona Ice!

The Fun Run ends promptly at 3:30pm and Kona Ice will be available for families to purchase to celebrate their runners! The truck will be on Priester's Pond Drive next to the fields until ~4:30pm.
